写新文章[活动]大学生湿地使者暑期关注水源地保护

中国，上海－“明天我们还有没有清洁的饮用水？目前有多少水源地面临污染、过度开发等威胁？我们的‘生命之源’能不能得到长期和可靠的保护？作为湿地使者、作为社会未来的中坚力量，我们应该为保护水源地做些什么？” 7月15日上午，“饮水当思源，呵护水源地”——2007年湿地使者行动启动仪式在上海复旦大学举行，来自复旦大学、北京大学、南京大学等全国各地27个学校40名湿地使者发出倡议：“为了让类似太湖蓝藻的水污染事件不再发生，为了中国的可持续发展，为了给我们的下一代留下碧水蓝天，我们应该马上行动起来，共同保护我们的水源地。” 水源地包括给人类提供饮用水的江河源头、湖泊、水库、池塘等地区，无论大小，水源地的状况直接影响到其下游的人类生存与生产状况。启动仪式后，这27支湿地使者队伍将分批前往长江流域和北京周边的13个省、市、自治区的25个水源地地区及其用水地开展调研和宣传、教育活动，如青海省通天河及沱沱河地区、四川省的岷江源头、南线北调中线的水源地丹江口水库、刚发生过蓝藻事件的江苏太湖、上海的水源地淀山湖及北京市官厅水库等等。 活动过程中，湿地使者们将以日记、照片与录像来形式通过搜狐科学博客和各级媒体来展现不同水源地地区面临的威胁，并与当地政府与社区来共同讨论保护建议。9月份，他们还将开展进一步的宣传，并进行总结报告。整个活动将于今年12月结束，并对优秀队伍进行表彰。 湿地使者行动是为提高公众湿地保护意识而开展的一项大型公益宣传活动，旨在发动全国高校的大学生环保社团和环保爱好者，利用暑假和课余时间开展湿地保护和宣传活动。湿地使者始于2001年，每年支持10-20个高校环保社团开展活动。 2007年湿地使者行动由国家林业局湿地保护管理中心、水利部水资源管理司、WWF（世界自然基金会）、国际湿地公约秘书处共同主办，由汇丰银行与可口可乐公司提供资助。 WWF（中国）首席代表欧达梦表示：“无论在城市还是农村，水源地保护与中国十几亿人口的生存息息相关，今年的湿地使者行动以‘饮水当思源，呵护水源地’作为主题，就是希望通过大学生湿地使者对长江流域及北京市水源状况的调查，呼吁全社会来关注水源地。” 7月13日-14日，主办单位在复旦大学对各地湿地使者代表进行了集中培训。启动仪式后，参加活动的代表和湿地使者们还到上海市水源地之一——淀山湖进行考察，了解上海市的水源地保护现状。 背景信息： 各队伍的活动方案详细信息，请点击： 淀山湖位于上海青浦县西，离上海市区约50公里，是上海市最大的水源地和最大的湖泊。湖呈葫芦形，面积63平方公里，为杭州西湖的12倍，水深约2米，并与黄浦江、吴淞江相通，水产丰富。湖中原有淀山，南宋后，因在湖畔围田，湖面渐小，今淀山已在湖东2公里的陆地上。淀山湖的保护对于上海市1800万人口的饮用水安全有着至关重要的意义。淀山湖将是中国“汇丰与气候伙伴同行” 项目在上海的一个潜在项目点，从2007年下半年开始，WWF将在此开展“构建和谐社区，梦回江南水乡——追寻城市生命之源”系列活动。 欲了解更多信息，请联系： |
